Amends Section 17-1 of the Criminal Code of 2012 to expand the definition of deceptive practices by adding "or lease" to language covering false or deceptive statements made to the public for promoting the sale of property or services.

Violations of deceptive practices remain classified as a Class A misdemeanor, with enhanced penalties for higher-value offenses or repeat violations as specified in existing law.

The change applies specifically to subsection (A)(3), which addresses knowingly false or deceptive public statements used to promote transactions.

All other provisions related to bad checks, bank-related fraud, sentencing guidelines, and civil liability remain unchanged.
