Director of Corrections shall appoint a Family Liaison Officer to review denials of or restrictions on visitation by family or household members for committed persons who have filed a visitor list with their facility.

Department must adopt rules governing in-person and video conferencing visits, and staff may only deny visits for reasons specified in the rules, with all visitation rules published on the Department's website.

Any potential visitor denied a visit must receive a written standard form stating the specific rule basis for denial and Family Liaison Officer contact information for appeals.

Family Liaison Officer must review each visitation denial within 15 days of receipt and determine if the denial was appropriate under the applicable rule, with written review and outcome published on the Department's website.

Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
