• Enhances criminal penalties for firearm offenses, including increased sentencing ranges for unlawful firearm possession by felons and use of stolen or illegally acquired firearms in committing crimes.

• Requires the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to analyze and report on firearm-related crimes, convictions, and sentences from the prior 5 years by January 1, 2024 (report requirement repeals January 1, 2025).
