Adds adventure courses, ziplines, aquatic centers, campgrounds, equestrian centers, nature centers, picnic groves, sledding hills, and parking areas under Cook County Forest Preserve District control to prohibited areas for concealed firearms.

Includes any public or private gathering or special event on Cook County Forest Preserve District property that requires a permit in the list of prohibited firearms areas.

Adds botanic gardens to the list of prohibited areas for concealed firearms alongside zoos and museums.

Permits colleges and universities to designate parking areas where firearms may be stored in vehicles, and allows firearms for authorized military science, law enforcement training, hunting, and target shooting programs.
