IL HB4337

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code to require individual and group accident and health insurance policies and managed care plans to cover aesthetic services and restorative care for treating physical injuries of domestic violence victims when medically necessary, as determined by a licensed physician.

Applies to all policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly.

Defines "domestic violence" using the definition in Section 103 of the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986.

Makes conforming changes to the Illinois Public Aid Code by adding Section 356z.53 to the list of required health benefits that must be provided by the medical assistance program.
