IL HB4350

Allows school boards maintaining grades 9-12 to substitute vocational or technical education courses for required high school courses or graduation requirements.

Removes the requirement that vocational or technical education courses must contain at least 50% of the content of the course they replace.

Removes the requirement that a student's parent or guardian must first request and approve the course substitution in writing.

State Board of Education shall adopt and uniformly apply standards to determine which vocational or technical courses qualify as related to required courses.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
