IL HB4372

Prohibits organizing, sponsoring, promoting, conducting, or participating in contests, competitions, tournaments, or derbies with the objective of taking any fur-bearing mammal for cash, prizes, or other inducements.

Exempts field trials permitted by the Department of Natural Resources from the prohibition.

Establishes violations as a Class A misdemeanor with fines ranging from $500 to $5,000, in addition to other statutory penalties.

Applies the same penalty structure to violations of certain other Wildlife Code provisions including subsections (g), (i), (o), (p), (y), and (cc) of Section 2.33.
