Requires the Property Tax Appeal Board to establish and maintain a statewide homestead exemption database beginning January 1, 2023.

Database must be publicly accessible and searchable by county, property address, property index number, taxpayer name, and type of homestead exemption.

Chief county assessment officers must cooperate with the Property Tax Appeal Board to provide current homestead exemption information for inclusion in the database.

Chief county assessment officers must check the statewide database before granting a homestead exemption to verify the homeowner is not receiving an additional exemption that would disqualify them.
