Department of Healthcare and Family Services may provide medical services to noncitizens ages 19-54 with income at or below 133% of federal poverty level plus 5% by July 1, 2022, despite not meeting citizenship requirements for standard medical assistance.

Eligible noncitizens ages 19-54 under this program receive benefits identical to the Health Benefits Service Package provided under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code.

Department may provide medical services to noncitizens ages 55-64 with income at or below 133% of federal poverty level plus 5% by May 30, 2022, with benefits identical to the Health Benefits Service Package.

Department may provide medical assistance to noncitizens over age 65 with income at or below 100% of federal poverty level (after deducting medical care costs) who would otherwise meet eligibility requirements.

Department may cover immunosuppressive drugs and post-kidney transplant management services for noncitizens who meet residency requirements and financial eligibility thresholds but are ineligible for comprehensive medical benefits.
