IL HB4490

Amends the Probate Act of 1975 by removing the disqualification of individuals convicted of felonies from serving as executors or administrators of estates.

Modifies Section 6-13 to eliminate the language "and has not been convicted of a felony" from the qualifications to act as an executor.

Modifies Section 9-1 to eliminate the language "and has not been convicted of a felony" from the qualifications to act as an administrator.

Retains existing requirements that executors and administrators must be at least 18 years old, U.S. residents, of sound mind, and not adjudged persons with a disability.
