IL HB4573

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to change managed care organization reimbursement for nursing homes from facility-specific RUG-IV nursing component to fee-for-service facility-specific nursing component per diem.

Requires managed care organizations to provide quarterly reimbursement including nursing component per diem, add-ons for enhanced care services, support component per diem, and capital component per diem for each contracted nursing home.

Prohibits managed care contracts from providing reimbursement rates lower than the fee-for-service rate in effect at the time services are rendered.

Expressly prohibits managed care organizations from offering, negotiating, or entering into nursing facility contracts with compensation levels below the current fee-for-service rate.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
