Illinois Student Assistance Commission must annually provide information about the Child Care Assistance Program and federal dependent care allowance to students eligible for Monetary Award Program grants.

Information provided must include program eligibility, application procedures, and direct students to the Department of Human Services for Child Care Assistance Program details and to their institution's financial aid office for dependent care allowance information.

Institutions participating in the Monetary Award Program must distribute this notice to all enrolled or accepted students identified as Monetary Award Program-eligible and to any students identified as having dependents.

Institutions may optionally designate a public benefits liaison or single point person to help eligible students obtain public benefits.

Illinois Student Assistance Commission must adopt necessary rules to implement this requirement by October 1, 2022.
