Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to classify strangulation during domestic battery as a Class X felony with mandatory imprisonment of 6 to 30 years.

Defines "strangle" as intentionally impeding normal breathing or blood circulation by applying pressure to the throat or neck, or blocking the nose or mouth.

Maintains the existing Class 2 felony classification for aggravated domestic battery involving great bodily harm, permanent disability, or disfigurement under subsection (a).

Requires courts to advise defendants convicted of aggravated domestic battery that federal penalties may apply under the Gun Control Act of 1968 for possessing firearms or ammunition.
