IL HB4741

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to allow disclosure of prisoner master record files pursuant to court orders or subpoenas, in addition to existing access by authorized Department personnel

Grants the Department of Juvenile Justice authority to prescribe rules and regulations for awarding and revoking sentence credit for persons committed under Section 5-8-6, separate from the Department of Corrections

Authorizes both the Director of Corrections and the Director of Juvenile Justice to award up to 180 days of earned sentence credit for sentences under 5 years, and up to 365 days for sentences of 5 years or longer, based on good conduct and programming participation

Expands sentence credit eligibility to include programming completed while in custody of either the Department of Corrections or the Department of Juvenile Justice, or while in pre-trial custody

Allows either Director to restore sentence credits that have been revoked, suspended, or reduced in appropriate cases, with rules requiring automatic restoration after a period without disciplinary violations
