IL HB4852

Amends the Election Code Section 10-10 to require the chair of electoral boards to send notice of objection hearings by registered or certified mail to the election authority to whom the ballot is certified.

Adds the election authority as a recipient of the call notice (in addition to existing recipients: board members, objectors, and candidates/proponents whose nominations or petitions are challenged).

Requires the election authority to receive a certified copy of the electoral board's ruling along with original nomination papers and objection petitions when transmitted after the judicial review period expires.

Applies to all electoral boards except the State Board of Elections in local candidate and ballot measure objection proceedings.
