Amends the Illinois School Code to require that removal of students with disabilities for disciplinary reasons must conform with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and 34 C.F.R. Section 300.536

In-school suspensions are not counted as removals under this provision

Removal of a student for any part of a school day counts as a full day of removal, including when school administration directs parents not to send the student to school

Parents or guardians must receive written notice for each removal that includes the action taken, duration, and reasons for the action

All written notices and recorded information about student removals must be added to the student's official school records
