IL HB5192

Amends the State Budget Law to modify meeting requirements for the commission that advises the Governor on statewide budget priorities and goals.

Allows the commission to hold one virtual public meeting conducted over the Internet in lieu of the two required in-person public meetings (one in Chicago and one in Springfield).

The virtual meeting option requires a majority vote approval by commission members and must remain open to the public.

Maintains all other existing requirements for the commission, including submission of annual reports by November 1 recommending budget percentages for proposed outcomes and goals.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
