• Increases annual transfer from Grade Crossing Protection Fund to Transportation Regulatory Fund from $3,000,000 to $5,500,000 beginning in fiscal year 2022 and each fiscal year thereafter.

• The increased Transportation Regulatory Fund amount will be used to pay administrative costs of the Illinois Commerce Commission's railroad safety program and remaining funds will support Department of Transportation projects for grade crossing improvements and highway access.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
