Reduces coursework requirements for subsequent endorsements on Professional Educator Licenses from 24 to 18 semester hours, plus passage of the applicable content area test

Allows school districts to grant subsequent endorsements for specific content areas and grade levels that authorize practice within that particular district

Cuts required work experience for career and technical educator endorsements from 2,000 to 1,000 hours outside of education in each area to be taught

Authorizes school districts to establish professional development sequences with comprehensive content standards review for approvals or endorsements, consistent with State Board of Education-approved trainings

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
