IL HB5339

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 to add vehicular hijacking and aggravated vehicular hijacking to the list of offenses excluded from juvenile court jurisdiction

Minors aged 16 or older charged with vehicular hijacking or aggravated vehicular hijacking would be automatically prosecuted as adults under criminal laws rather than as delinquent minors

Expands the existing list of excluded offenses, which already includes first degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, and aggravated battery with a firearm involving personal discharge of the weapon

All charges arising from the same incident as the excluded offense would also be prosecuted in adult criminal court
