Adds Section 9-112.6 to the Illinois Highway Code authorizing the Department to provide vegetation control on state right-of-way related to outdoor advertising sign visibility or grant permits for such work.

Department may issue rules establishing standards and procedures for vegetation control permits, including permit applications, revocations, and requirements for vegetation replacement and landscaping removal.

Permits vegetation cutting or trimming within 250 feet in front of single-sided signs and 250 feet in front of each side of double-sided signs, plus an additional 250-foot triangular section measured diagonally from right-of-way edge to pavement edge.

All vegetation cutting or trimming must maintain environmental compliance and comply with Department safety rules.

Department must process completed vegetation control applications within 45 days of receipt.
