Amends Section 16-118 of the Illinois Pension Code regarding retired teacher re-employment limits

Adds a temporary allowance from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 permitting an additional 20 paid days or 100 paid hours beyond the standard 120 days/600 hours to address substitute teacher shortages caused by the pandemic

Resets the employment limit to 100 paid days or 500 paid hours per school year beginning July 1, 2023

Retired teachers may accept re-employment without losing retirement status if employment occurs outside the school year they terminated and does not exceed specified day/hour limits

Act takes effect upon becoming law
