Requires drivers employed by transportation providers contracted with the Department of Children and Family Services to undergo fingerprint-based criminal history records checks as a condition of employment.

Mandates fingerprints be submitted electronically to Illinois State Police in compliance with their prescribed format and transmitted through a live scan fingerprint vendor licensed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Requires fingerprints to be checked against Illinois State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history records databases, including civil, criminal, and latent fingerprint databases.

Establishes that Illinois State Police shall charge a fee not exceeding the actual cost of the records check, deposited into the State Police Services Fund, and shall provide conviction records and national criminal history information to the Department.

Effective January 1, 2023.
