Amends the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act to allow township officials in townships with populations under 2,500 inhabitants to serve on school boards.

Permits township trustees and other township officials in small townships to hold positions as members of boards of education, regional boards of school trustees, boards of school directors, or boards of school inspectors.

Does not alter existing prohibitions on township supervisors and trustees holding other appointed offices unless authorized by law or they resign their township position.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
