Specifically includes in vitro fertilization, gamete intrafallopian transfer, zygote intrafallopian transfer, embryo biopsy, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis under the definition

Also covers embryo cryopreservation, oocyte or embryo donation, and gestational surrogacy as forms of assisted reproductive technology
