Declares August 17, 2021 as Orion Samuelson Day in Illinois to honor his dedication to the agriculture industry.

Recognizes Samuelson's 60-year career at WGN Radio beginning September 26, 1960, during which he became one of the country's most recognizable agriculture voices.

Notes his extensive accomplishments including interviewing nine U.S. presidents, conducting four official government trips, and broadcasting from over 40 countries.

Acknowledges his numerous awards including an honorary Doctor of Letters from University of Illinois, the Lincoln Medal (2001), and induction into the Radio Hall of Fame (2003).

Directs copies of the resolution be presented to Samuelson, WGN Radio, the Illinois Foundation Board, and University of Illinois Extension Program.
