• Creates the Illinois Good Food Purchasing Policy Task Force to study current state food procurement and explore implementation of Good Food Purchasing standards for healthy, sustainable, locally and equitably sourced foods

• Task Force consists of 23 members including the Lieutenant Governor, legislative leaders, state agency directors (Agriculture, Commerce, Environmental Protection, Public Health, Natural Resources), procurement officers, and representatives from food advocacy, environmental, labor, farm animal welfare, and nutrition organizations

• Department of Agriculture provides administrative support and Task Force members select their own chairperson

• Task Force must submit an interim report to the Governor and General Assembly by January 1, 2022, and a final report by January 1, 2023, after which the Task Force dissolves

• All Task Force members serve without compensation
