Establishes a joint legislative caucus formally known as the University of Illinois Legislative Caucus to address higher education issues.

The caucus will serve as a forum for legislators to learn about higher education issues and evaluate legislative proposals affecting universities.

The University of Illinois System contributes $17.5 billion to the economy annually, awards over 23,000 degrees yearly, and maintains a nearly $1 billion research portfolio.

Each dollar invested in the University of Illinois System returns $1-4 to the state's economy through economic activity.

Requests formal recognition of the caucus within the Illinois General Assembly as the primary body addressing University of Illinois System issues.
