Designates Illinois Route 34 within the city limits of Harrisburg as the "Trooper Sutton and Chief Law Memorial Highway" to honor two officers killed during an arrest.

Trooper James Grady Sutton of the Illinois State Police and Chief Daniel Law of the Harrisburg Police Department were shot and killed by suspects while escorting three individuals in a stolen vehicle to jail.

Chief Law clung to the vehicle for four blocks while exchanging gunfire with the suspects, killing one before being fatally shot; Trooper Sutton was struck in the chest and died from his wounds following emergency surgery.

The Illinois Department of Transportation is requested to erect plaques or signs at suitable locations along the highway designating it as the memorial highway, consistent with state and federal regulations.

Copies of the resolution are to be presented to the families of both officers, the Illinois State Police, the Harrisburg Police Department, and the Secretary of the Department of Transportation.
