Illinois General Assembly and Illinois Legislative Black Caucus seek to initiate a delegation visit to Accra, Ghana to expand the mutually beneficial relationship between the state and the city.

Delegation would exchange knowledge and expertise with Accra's Social Welfare & Community Development, Metro Public Health, Education, Legal, Food & Agriculture, Urban Roads, and Waste Management departments.

State of Illinois and City of Accra are encouraged to promote economic cooperation, trade relations, and exchanges in science, technology, culture, education, sports, and health.

Resolution requests an official invitation from Ghana's parliament for a delegation visit during December 10-20, 2022, and declares Illinois's esteem and friendship toward Accra and its citizens.

A copy of the resolution is to be delivered to Accra's Mayor Elizabeth Sackey as a token of esteem and request for official invitation to visit.
