Mourns the 7 victims killed in the July 4, 2022 shooting at Highland Park's Fourth of July parade: Katherine Goldstein, Irina McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Stephen Straus, Jacqueline Sundheim, Nicholas Toledo-Zaragoza, and Eduardo Uvaldo.

Honors law enforcement, first responders, community leaders, medical professionals, and volunteers who responded to the shooting and provided aid to victims.

Specifically commends Mayor Nancy Rotering for her leadership following the tragedy and City Manager Ghida Neukirch for providing first aid to gunshot victims at the scene.

Recognizes the trauma experienced by survivors and families affected by the shooting and calls on leaders to work to prevent future gun violence in Illinois communities.

Directs delivery of a copy of the resolution to the City of Highland Park.
