Declares March 31, 2021 as Farmworkers Awareness Day in Illinois, commemorating the birth date of César Estrada Chávez

Honors César Chávez, who founded The National Farm Workers Association in 1962 and organized boycotts that led to legislation protecting farmworkers' rights to unionize and secure humane working conditions

Recognizes the historical exploitation of farmworkers, including child labor, preventable workplace deaths, and an average life expectancy of just 49 years

Acknowledges that grassroots organizing efforts resulted in over 50,000 farmworkers gaining union contract protections by the mid-1970s

Directs that copies of the resolution be delivered to the Governor's Office and all members of the Illinois General Assembly
