Declares August 9-15, 2021 as Community Health Center Week in Illinois to recognize the contributions of community health centers that have served underserved communities for over 50 years.

Acknowledges that over 40 Illinois organizations operate community health centers at more than 400 sites, serving nearly 5 million patient visits annually and employing nearly 10,000 health care professionals.

Recognizes that community health centers generate $2.4 billion in total economic activity in Illinois, with every dollar invested generating $5.21 in economic activity.

Encourages all Americans to visit their local health center during Community Health Center Week and celebrate the partnership between centers and their communities.

Commits to ensuring every underserved and under-resourced community has sustainable access to a community health center and community hospital to improve health outcomes.
