Affirms Illinois House support for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid program in response to a federal court ruling that the ACA is unconstitutional.

Identifies 5 million Illinoisans with pre-existing conditions, 2 million enrolled in Medicare, and 3.2 million in Medicaid who would be threatened by ACA repeal.

Warns that over 650,000 people could lose Medicaid coverage and over 280,000 could lose tax credit subsidies on the health insurance marketplace if the ACA is struck down.

Highlights threatened protections including pre-existing condition coverage, Essential Health Benefits, prescription drug cost reductions, and protections allowing young adults to stay on parents' plans until age 26.

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to the President, U.S. Congressional leadership, and all members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation.
