Designates October 22, 2021 as Ecumenical See of Constantinople Day in Illinois to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew's elevation on October 22, 1991.

Recognizes Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew as the longest-serving Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople and the spiritual leader of millions of Orthodox Christians worldwide, with significant population in Illinois and Chicago.

Acknowledges Bartholomew's leadership and contributions to world peace, religious understanding, environmental protection, and his 1997 Congressional Gold Medal recognition.

Encourages U.S. foreign policy makers to urge Turkey to grant religious freedom and property rights to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and to reopen the theological school at Halki.

Expresses Illinois House support for Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew's efforts for the betterment of humankind and directs presentation of the resolution to him as a symbol of respect and esteem.
