Supports the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation's efforts to regain possession of the Shab-eh-nay Reservation near Paw Paw Grove, Illinois, which was illegally sold by the U.S. General Land Office in 1849 while Chief Shab-eh-nay was visiting relatives in Kansas

Acknowledges that two sections of land were reserved for Chief Shab-eh-nay and his band under the 1829 Treaty of Prairie du Chien and reaffirmed in the 1833 Treaty of Chicago, and were never legally ceded to the United States

Recognizes the federal government has admitted it violated federal law when selling the reservation land in 1849

States that current non-Indian occupants of the land should not be held liable for occupying it

Encourages Congress to enact legislation addressing ownership of the Shab-eh-nay Reservation and resolving damages owed to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation
