Designates February 2022 as "Girls & Women in Sports Month" in Illinois to acknowledge the 36th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day.

Recognizes the progress made since Title IX's enactment 50 years ago, which ensures equitable sports opportunities in federally funded public schools regardless of gender.

Celebrates Illinois professional women's sports teams, including the 2021 WNBA Champion Chicago Sky and the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League.

Supports the goals and ideals of women's sports at all levels (professional, collegiate, high school, and grade school) and recognizes sports' role in girls' growth, development, and academic success.

Encourages other units of government to promote the importance of women and girls participating in athletics and recognizes all female athletes for their examples.
