Cites electromagnetic imaging evidence showing that severe post-traumatic stress causes physical changes in the brain more accurately described as an injury.

Urges the Departments of Public Health, Military Affairs, and Veterans Affairs to educate victims of combat, interpersonal violence, accidents, and natural disasters about causes, symptoms, and treatment of post-traumatic stress injury.

Encourages all Illinois citizens and residents to participate in observance of Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Day and Month.
