Congratulates Cathedral of Joy (COJ) Family Life Center Church on its 44 years in ministry since its founding in June 1977.

Church was originally established as United Baptist Church in Reverend J.H. Hinkle Sr.'s home at 15725 South Ashland Avenue in Harvey, later renamed Cathedral of Joy Church and chartered in 1977.

Relocated to 231 East 146th Street in Harvey, then to Kedzie and Flossmoor Road in Flossmoor on October 16, 1988, and finally to 20401 Western Avenue in Olympia Fields on April 2, 2010.

Pastor Samuel E. Hinkle III became ordained in January 1979 and assumed leadership after his father Pastor J.H. Hinkle's death on October 24, 1982, guiding the church's expansion through subsequent decades.

Illinois House of Representatives directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the church as an expression of esteem and respect.
