Illinois House of Representatives expresses condolences for the death of Pearl Elaine Dilg of Gurnee, who passed away on February 25, 2022.

Pearl Dilg was born December 4, 1929, and married Allen Dilg on February 1, 1969; she was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

Pearl Dilg was an accomplished animal breeder and exhibitor who showed dairy cattle, Siamese cats, dogs (including at Westminster Kennel Club at age 83), and horses; her kennel name was Dilu Dachshunds, meaning "From Dilg, With Love."

Pearl Dilg was a lifetime member of the Lake County Mounted Posse, Inc., and active member of the Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club, National Miniature Dachshund Club, Lake County Farm Heritage Association, and Southeastern Wisconsin Antique Power and Collectible Society.

Pearl Dilg is survived by her husband of 53 years, four children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
