Congratulates Christine Zelenka, Ed.D. on her retirement as principal of John B. Murphy Elementary School after leading the school for over 14 years.

Recognizes Dr. Zelenka as only the eighth principal in the school's nearly 100-year history of serving the Irving Park community.

Acknowledges her career achievements including hosting resident principal training, implementing social-emotional learning programs, expanding Pre-K and middle school offerings, and leading the Fine & Performing Arts magnet program.

Honors her community engagement efforts in parent leadership development, school traditions, facility improvements, pandemic response, and service on National Louis University's Teacher Preparation Advisory Board for 8 years.
