Congratulates the Kankakee High School boys track and field team (Chief Kays) for winning the IHSA Class 2A State Finals with 62 points, 28 points ahead of co-runners-up Mount Vernon and Mount Zion.

Credits seven athletes who won 19 individual and relay medals combined, including sophomore Jayon Morrow (four medals), junior Naz Hill (three medals), and junior Tyrice Bender (medals in all three relays).

Honors the team's achievement despite the loss of two assistant coaches—Jemiya Bates (died of brain cancer) and Chwan Wilson (died of COVID-19 complications)—whose passion inspired the team.

Recognizes the coaching staff including Head Coach Marques Lowe, Assistant Coaches Erica Baptist, Sarah Ganster, Rich Olmstead, and Meet Director Kurt Weigt.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the Chief Kays as a symbol of respect and esteem.
