Congratulates Richard J. Mark on his retirement as president of Ameren Illinois Companies effective August 1, 2022.

Mark served as president of Ameren Illinois since 2012 after working 20 years with Ameren Corporation, overseeing modernization of the electric grid and natural gas infrastructure in central and southern Illinois.

Directed over $22 million in corporate philanthropy to downstate Illinois non-profits and championed diversity initiatives, earning recognition as a Top 10 National Business Leader and EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Leader.

Served on boards including the American Gas Association, Tenet Healthcare Corporation, Madison Mutual Insurance Company, and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation.

Previously held leadership positions in hospital administration for 11 years, including six years as president and CEO of St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis, and led the East St. Louis District 189 Financial Oversight Panel.
