Congratulates Taft's Mr. Ribeye on its 50th anniversary as a staple of the Illinois State Fair.

Recognizes that Delbert Taft and Loren Schlipf created the ribeye steak sandwich stand in summer 1973, initially operating as a volunteer operation from 10:00am to 2:00pm near Barn 13 at $2.50 per sandwich.

Notes that Delbert and Steve Taft later expanded the operation into a business with a second stand added at the corner of Barn 25A, and highlights notable events witnessed at the stand including visits by Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, President George H.W. Bush, and multiple Willie Nelson concerts.

Acknowledges long-time employee Rick Swan, who has worked at Taft's Mr. Ribeye for 38 years.

Directs that suitable copies of the resolution be presented to Taft's Mr. Ribeye and the Taft family as a symbol of esteem and respect.
