Congratulates William Ribbing, M.D. for receiving the 2022 Rural Physician Lifetime of Service Award from the Illinois Rural Health Association

Recognizes Dr. Ribbing's 32-year career at Rural Health Inc. in Anna, Illinois, where he has seen 20-30 patients daily since 1990 and brought specialty services including women's health, cardiology, orthopedics, and behavioral medicine to the region

Commends Dr. Ribbing's work addressing the rural opioid epidemic through creating a Medicated Assisted Treatment Clinic and his advocacy for advancing the physician assistant profession, including establishing a training partnership with Southern Illinois University

Acknowledges Dr. Ribbing's service as president of the medical staff and board member at Union County Hospital, and his work training medical students as faculty at University of Illinois College of Medicine and SIU School of Medicine

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Dr. Ribbing as a symbol of respect and esteem for his 45 years of service to Southern Illinois rural medicine
