Congratulates President Michael L. Elbe on his retirement from John Wood Community College at the end of Fall 2022 semester after 8 years as president and 36 years in higher education.

Recognizes Elbe as the sixth president of John Wood Community College, founded in 1974, which has successfully graduated thousands of students in associate degree and certificate programs.

Acknowledges Elbe's leadership in expanding workforce innovation programs, opening a new agricultural sciences complex, and expanding the John Wood Community College Development Center.

Commends Elbe's fiscal management in maintaining a balanced budget and healthy fund balance during a state budget crisis and the pandemic.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to President Elbe as an expression of esteem and respect.
