Congratulates Danny Picarella on his retirement from the Village of Glen Carbon after 24 years of service in August 2022

Started with Glen Carbon Street Department in April 1998, maintaining roads and recreational parks

Completed continuing education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2001 and transferred to Water Department, where he oversaw 90 miles of water mains, 85 miles of sanitary sewer mains, and 29 lift pumping stations

Served in additional community positions including Glen Carbon Fire Department, Edwardsville Township trustee, and highway commissioner

Commends Picarella's dedication to modernizing and improving efficiency of village and township processes
