Illinois House of Representatives mourns the death of Donald R. "Dick" Ladzinski of Peru, who passed away on December 19, 2022.

Ladzinski was born January 20, 1933, served in the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War, and was a 66-year member of Carpenters Local 195 and 174.

Served as secretary-treasurer of the Illinois State Council of Carpenters and lobbied for labor issues in Springfield and Washington, D.C., advocating for worker safety laws and living wages.

Survived by his wife Jeanne Thompson Ladzinski, seven children, two stepchildren, 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy Ladzinski Troup.

House extends condolences to Ladzinski's family and friends, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to his family.
