Honors Representative and Assistant Majority Leader Delia Ramirez on her retirement from the Illinois House of Representatives after serving the 4th House District.

Recognizes Ramirez as the first Guatemalan American elected to the Illinois General Assembly (2018) and the first Illinois and Midwestern Latina elected to U.S. Congress (2022).

Acknowledges her legislative achievements including sponsoring the law for an elected Chicago school board, expanding Medicaid coverage for older Illinoisans regardless of immigration status, and passing emergency housing protections during COVID-19.

Commends her career in community service as a social services director, founding executive director of the Center for Changing Lives, and board chair for housing and neighborhood organizations.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Leader Ramirez as an expression of respect and esteem from the House.
