Commends State Representative David Allen Welter on his retirement from the Illinois House, representing the 75th District covering portions of Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle, and Will Counties.

Recognizes Rep. Welter's appointment in July 2016, election to a full term in November 2016, and re-election in 2018 and 2020, as well as his appointment as Republican Conference Chairperson in 2021 at age 29.

Highlights legislative achievements including passage of "Colton's Task Force" in 2021 to combat domestic violence and a comprehensive 2021 energy bill to maintain Illinois' nuclear fleet and protect jobs at Dresden Station.

Notes prior service as Grundy County Board Chairman from 2014-2016, work as a legislative aide, and current employment as co-owner of RE/MAX Top Properties in Morris.
